JOHN S CASE
BOOK REVIEWS
lambs Amongst The Wolves; is a book that has been written in order that the
Reader can be made aware of the various cultures in the prisons and the roles that
the prisoners play . . . Some Good and some Bad.
Furthermore, it is the Author's intent that members of Society do not forget the fallen
and the meek men, women and children imprisoned, who, after repentance and
reformed, may fall into the same snares as those on the outside of prison.
There is an enormous amount of violence occurring within the prisons around the
nation, Neither by Guards and/or by other prisoners. Even many of the men, women
and children, incarcerated in the prisons, are innocently affected by the actions of
provocative bullies, regardless of what side of the fence these men are on.

However, when the prisons are overpopulated with little to no Rehabilitative
treatment occurring, what can we expect. Especially, when many prisons are also full of abusive and provocative guards, as well as aggressive prisoners.
When an offender is guilty of violating any area of the constitution and sentenced to prison, they are being punished for their crime.  Punishment should stop there.
These people have lost their complete freedom, and all of the natural gifts that God bestowed upon us from the beginning of creation. Such offences may include, but are not limited to,fraud, theft, rape, prostitution, Drugs, and/or murder.
For many of these prisoners, years of incarceration and retribution, heals them in a way that should be satisfactory to society. In other words, many of these men,
women and children, can and should, be allowed to return to society, as productive citizens of the country.
Then there are those in the prisons who cannot change without some type of
Psychological or Psychiatric treatment. Individuals who were suffering from mental and/ or emotional problems in the past, before incarceration, and never received treatment, will probably have difficulties adjusting to prison life and the current treatment of harsh discipline.  This is why it is so imperative that we, as a society, fight for the
Rehabilitation of prisoners rather than harsher prison sentences.
There are trillions of dollars being spent on fruitless efforts to stop crime, rather than
utilizing less dollars on
rehabilitation and preventative services to prisoners
within and without the prison settings.
