WHY SOULFUL CHEMISTRY ?

The web site Soulful Chemistry grew out of the pure frustration encountered on many occasions, by myself and my
friends, to find a high quality platform for the publishing of Afro American and African writings, songs and stories
and testimonies.

I wanted to create a "space"  where talented Afro Americans and Africans  from all walks of life would at last have
the possibility of publishing their work, voicing their opinions and the possibility of being heard and getting known.

Certain aspects of our collective  life and individual lives in this century are difficult to get out there so the twin
sites "Soulful Chemistry "and "Shackled Voices include a "coloring" that encompasses and will hopefully highlight
the truths of the declaration of Human Rights,  civil rights, the theme of slavery and its abolition past and present
and the abolition of the death penalty = LIFE FOR ALL .

WHY SHACKLED VOICES ?

I heard of friends and associates receiving letters of refusal; turning down their great works   because of who they
are ,who they were or where they are now or that their work didn't have "blockbuster" potential.
Racism and prejudice are also part of the problem.

So here we are,
for you helping you over that first hurdle and on...
Your first step forward

A TRIBUTE TO

"Soulful Chemistry"

Souls in odyssey, inaugurating

Opus of enlightenment, mating

Understanding with poetic

Liveliness, enmeshed in raw

Feeling, integrating individual

Universes into a harmonious

Love of life & acceptance, by

Creating chemistry for healing

Humanity's shrewdness; uniting

Elements that embodies the

Masses; openly enfranchising

Interrelations between the

Shackled and the free, with

Truth unbridled of the agony

Reeked upon a society that

Yells out against racism.

I HAVE A THOUGHT

If the word is me
Then, I am the word
Ponder thoughts
That with voices heard
Teach me how to think
Not just to think your way
For whereas my thought
May deflect from what you say
Dream dreams, for there
Comes thought,
Which bears it’s fruit
From whom it’s taught
Thus, I walk upright
With zealous feet,
But, soulfully,with certainty,  knowing
The thought at heart is what I seek
I have a thought ………
