"Relationship: Crossing the Color Barrier“ by Thaddeus Hamilton

Hallo people,

Well, as you know I’ve been trying to further my education in the field of computers and
the complicities that come with it, but I’m never to busy to give analysis when it’s due.

A conversation arose about a week ago, which comprised of people of color and the
unions that develop between European women. This Aztec warrior and myself, whom I am
proud to call my little brother, engaged in this topic. He had stated that he noticed on a
visit that men of color had formed unions with white women – the men black and Mexican
– and he stated that it was odd but could understand. Now I have dated women of the
opposite color and in my subconscious mind I didn’t realize the historical implications
that it held. I now as a conscious man understand the implication, but let it be
understood, that I in no way discriminate against anyone, who chooses to find love or
comfort with anyone not of themselves. This world is already filled with the disease of
hatred and I’ll not contribute to that distorted mind-set. But I do feel that it is my duty to
try and give a true analysis and a different perspective on the issue.

To some it may seem that I down play how black women feel that there’s a shortage of
black men and that is far from the truth. In expounding on this issue I will try and be as
sensitive as I can, but I have to keep it real!! From an historical perspective the slave-
master had put the white woman on such a high pedestal that at some point she couldn’t
be reached and so his total hate for black women became apparent. In his need to satisfy
his sexual directions he unleashed his rapacious desires on the black woman, but
something happened:
He began to thirst and even to love the darker side of the human race. Now, mind you
this self realization could not be expressed in areas of his true admittance of his wanton
desires.

Now I am of the believe that from an emotional perspective women can instinctively
become in tune to what’s going on around them and so it was in her discovering the
slave-master’s true desire of the black woman, only in sexual matters.

Now in any logical thinking person this knowledge of her male counter-part being
obsessed with the so called dregs of society wreaked havoc on her psyche in a major
way, in that she felt betrayed at best. How would you feel?
Well, in her quest to lash out she prayed upon the black man in the same sexual manner.
Her praying on the black male had a duel purpose: she needed sexual release and the
need to feel loved. The duality of it was that she began to empathize with the black man
and what he was going through. As the black nation had been betrayed by Caucasians,
she too felt betrayed. These unions on a subconscious level has endured and
flourished, but do we really understand the reasons why those situations have become
part of the norm? Some might say it is love, others might say that it’s the attraction of
delving into something that is considered taboo.

Well, here is my analysis and opinion and that’s all it is. I think that these unions are at
best unique, but with a deep seated feeling of having a shared experience: both being
used and manipulated by the Caucasian man. So on a subconscious level the Caucasian
female has on some level begun to understand that their plight is the plight that has
plagued black men for many eons. This is why I think we gravitate towards each other. I
understand that their struggle isn’t as deva sting as ours, but nevertheless they do
struggle to define themselves among a society that is white male oriented. As we, as
black men are trying to define ourselves as productive men in this society, there is a
ceiling that has been in place since time immemorial. If you look closely at how the
Caucasian female than you would begin to see things in a different light. I ask you when
Caucasian women were trying to gain the right to vote, who came to their rescue? – Hum,
this is getting interesting: The Lion aka Frederick Douglas became a staunch supporter
of women’s right to vote.
So my friends, this union has been bonded for a very long time. Some black women might
defer of my analysis and they are free to do so, but we must not lose sight of the
historical implications that lies underneath. So, now we arrive at the original question:
The unions that develop between Caucasian women and men of color who find
themselves incarcerated?

#1 Empathy of our plight
#2 The shared experience of being used.
#3 The need to bond with those who are being oppressed.
#4 To love and be loved by a soul that is so profound that it hurts.

So black women, if you find yourselves thinking that there is a men shortage, please,
take a book inside these prison walls, because all are not bad. The disproportionate of
wealth in any society will drive a person to do things s/he wouldn’t normally do and that
my friends is the undeniable truth. Me myself, I love all women and when God created
them, he did a remarkable job. Man has distorted so much in this life that he has warped
the minds of all who are weak to his deception. I strongly implore all who are reading this
to look within ourselves for better over standing. If we choose not to re develop our way
of thinking, then we as humans will not aspire to the other level of humanity.

Thank you and good day. Remember:
Kila Moja Kufundisha Moja.
Each one teach one.
Love ya.
